  • Bought some products today including a cereal for my celeac brother-in law. When I got home, I realized it actually contained some wheat products (this was my fault, I hadn't checked closely enough). When I went to take it back, I was actually hoping to exchange it for a true gluten-free cereal, I was told I "couldn't return things on a Saturday". This was only 2 hours after I had purchased it. It took her about 5 minutes to try to phone a manager to double check if this "no returns/exchanges on a Saturday rule" would stand - certainly enough time to have processed the refund or exchange. When she got off the phone, she said, no, couldn't do anything for me since it was a Saturday. We left the cereal on the counter, with the bill and walked out. I will never, ever shop there again and will tell this story to everyone I know. There are other health food stores in Calgary!
