I took my iPhone 7s to the Apple Store after being unable to charge or turn on my phone. They ran a diagnostics check and told me that my phone was showing as "will not turn on" and that I would need a new phone. I had thousands of photos that were not backed up and they told me I would be unable to retrieve them. Needless to say, I was very upset, but I took their word for it!
I shared this with a friend who recommended taking the phone to All Mobile Matters to see if anything could be done. I was skeptical (why would Apple lie when I told them how priceless those photos were to me?!) but I took it in. Clayton at All Mobile Matters assessed the phone and decided to try to replace the charging port. It took a couple hours, and when I returned I expected to be disappointed. Not so! Clayton was able to replace the charging port by taking apart my phone and accessing the mother board, which apparently also had problems (listen, I'm not a techie.) This was all done for under $100.
Apple wanted me to buy a new phone for $379 and lose all my photos and any other data I had not backed up to the iCloud. Ha!
I will shout from the rooftops how great Clayton and All Mobile Matters were to work with. I could not be more grateful. I wish more people knew that Apple's main goal is to sell you another phone, rather than help facilitate a fix.
Take your phone here first! You will not be disappointed!
