  • Hi, My name is Michelle Lajoie and I had an appointment on 10/10/16 at 1 p.m at Gental Dental on Flamingo with Dr. Figeroa. After having a full mouth of x rays done, they told me I needed to have 3 fillings done and a root canal. The total charges came to approximately $2.265. and some change. About $1,6000.00 of it was the root canal. I called them back and told them to simply extract the tooth. They refused to do so and told me because the tooth was "savable." I told them I didn't care and wanted it pulled, because I couldn't afford to pay that amount for the root canal. What kind of dentist refuses to extract a tooth for a patient. In my opinion, this dentist should get some kind of fine for not accommodating me. I am the patient and I think it should be my choice whether to have the tooth pulled, not theirs. Somebody needs to talk to her...very poor business practices. I have decided to switch dentists because of this. I have never had a dentist refuse to pull a tooth or do anything before. This is complete nonsense and very rude. I hope this complaint is not ignore.
