My left shoulder gives me a lot of trouble. I get massages fairly often to keep it from getting too uncomfortable, but if I'm being honest, I usually seek out the best deals instead of staying loyal to any one place.
I've been to Advanced Therapeutics several times for the Tuesday night figure drawing classes and I've always loved the vibe of the studio. The decor is warm and welcoming, and the waiting area is very comfortable.
We rolled in a little early for our appointments and were quickly taken in. I had anticipated waiting until the booked time rolled around, so it was nice to get started right away. I had a conversation with Evan, my therapist, and told him about my shoulder. He happily replied, "Not a problem. I can take care of that."
An hour later, while I didn't get the same intensive treatment to my area of concern that I've had in other massages, I emerged feeling more relaxed than I've ever felt post-massage. I will absolutely come back to see Evan again.
I will say that scheduling was a bit trying. I followed the website's instructions to text for an appointment but ended up having to call and play a few rounds of phone tag with Theresa before I was on the books. Not a dealbreaker, but a better system could be put in place.
