I remember walking past Gurts when they were renovating it, before it was officially open. They had paintings of milk shakes and other treats with faces and arms and feet which made me think of those retro 70's float shops.
Unfortunately it was not a float shop at all.
Gurts is a frozen Yogurt place. The staff are nice when I have gone in, buts its not really a sit down desert place.
I've had the vanilla cupcakes which were disappointing to me as they were dry and the best part was the icing. Lemon Square which was very good but I do love lemon, and a short bread cookie that was a pumpkin. It was also very good although I'm not much of a fan of short bread I did like the icing on this cookie and it was a Halloween design so it was kind of nice.
On one occasion I had the frozen yogurt. They had three different flavors, chocolate, vanilla and key lime. You are allowed to mix them as the frozen yogurt is charged by weight. On top of it they have an assortment of toppings like nuts, fruit, gummies and what not. It can be quiet pricy but the product is good.
Although I'm not completely in love with gurts I would totally go back for the frozen yogurt on a hot summer day.
