Verona Wine Cellar has a large selection of good wine and beer, and prices are competitive. Not only does the owner share his opinions with you when you are browsing the selections, but the selections he recommends turn out to be fantastic. This is rare- usually people try to sell you what sells no matter what, and I usually hate when salespeople talk to me while I'm shopping, but this is an exception. There is a Sauvignon Blanc that he describes as "thick," and even though I do not think it is thicker than other Sauvignon Blancs, it is one of the more delicious Sauv Blancs that I have tasted. This bottle's label also happens to glow in the dark, which would be a thrill at any party. My palate is not the most sophisticated, but based on my perception of the owner, he would not sell a wine he did not think someone (even someone with the least sophisticated palate!) would find tasty.
My next adventure is to find out whether the ~$50 Barolo is worth its price. If so, I will probably never buy wine elsewhere.
