After you read the negative reviews, consider this: Blue Man Group is PERFORMANCE ART, not a show. Consider it a variety act if you will, but don't expect a story line.
You won't be able to explain the show, but you'll want all your friends to see it.
Listen to me: this show is as good as it was 20 years ago when I saw it at the Astor Place in NYC when they performed "Tubes." (Ok, maybe not as good, but certainly close). And I long for the days when I paid only $40 for a ticket!
The show is a little less than 90 minutes, so seriously, if you need an intermission do not come. I can't believe one of the other reviewers needs an intermission for the same time as a film at any movie theater.
The Blue Men do not speak...they engage. You will ask yourself "why" at least 20 times. And then laugh. Just enjoy the ride.
Let yourself be engaged & join in on the audience participation. The more the audience participates, the better the experience. Be silly. Read the marquees.
If you want to introduce your kids to live performance art, this is it.
