| - Hands-down the best ice cream you'll find in Calgary, and possibly anywhere.
The 10th Avenue location is pretty small and out of the way, but it shouldn't deter you from heading over there for a sweet treat. Just a few minutes walk from the City Hall train stop, it's easily accessible, and I do recommend walking, if possible - parking can be a bit tough, especially on busy days when it's warm out.
Village offers a variety of classic flavours, such as vanilla and chocolate, but also has standing items on their menu such as toasted coconut, salted caramel, and Phil & Sebastian's coffee for the more adventurous. There are also always seasonal flavours which are exotic and must-tries, and include things such Honey Vanilla, Spiced Banana, and Coconut milk with Lime.
Prices range from $4 for a kid's cone, $5 for a single scoop, and go up from there. Add an extra buck for a waffle cone - they're worth it, being freshly made (and sometimes still warm) right in the store.
Definitely a great place to go on a warm day or when you need that pint of ice cream for a fresh emotional wound. I try to take my out-of-town visitors here at least once when they drop by town.
