  • This was the first restaurant I went to while in North Carolina and boy did they set the bar high. Our server was super nice, always checking up on us. She even gave us recommendations to places to go, not sure if it's just southern hospitality or she's just that nice. I got the shrimp and grits. It was the best shrimp and grits I ever had to date. The sauce was flavorful and the shrimp were decent size. For appetizers, we got the soul roll, which is an egg roll filled with a meaty filling. It was good, definitely something different. They also give cornbread instead of rolls. The cornbread were so good! Overall, a good place to eat with nice service. The restaurant looks normal nothing fancy, but the food won't disappoint.
