| - Yet another corporation that was once great down the tubes. For years, I bought all appliances and technology from Best Buy. They stood behind their products better than any corporation currently in operation in this hell hole we call a culture. The Geeks were great. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful,
That's all changed in the past five years. I've attempted to make a couple of purchases in the past year. The children BB now employs are rude and appear to be high. For example, the boy I asked for help in picking out speakers a few months ago barely listened to my questions, ambled over to the aisle with speakers, pointed at something, and mumbled "This will do." He then turned his bony back and ambled away. He sold me a speaker that was EXACTLY what I told him I DID NOT WANT.
I need a portable GPS, and since my in-store experience with these children has been so poor in recent years, I thought I would look online. Does anyone else remember when the first thing we found on Web sites were PHONE NUMBERS? Does anyone remember when consumers mattered? I finally found a phone number. This is the first company I've ever encountered that won't even talk to customers to help SELL.
Apparently, there is no way to get any assistance in making purchases from this horrible company that was once great.
BABY BOOMERS STILL MATTER!!!! We are STILL the largest demographic, and now WE HAVE ALL THE MONEY. We also remember good service, even though it disappeared at the turn of the century. We won't pay inflated prices to deal with snotty children who were apparently raised with no concept of simple courtesy and clearly think we are a waste of their time because we don't wear our pants around our knees and have 140 holes in our faces.
Corporations are under the opinion that consumers don't matter, which makes it odd that they spend so much advertising on junk mail trying to get our business. How much less would it cost to tell the children who work for you to be polite and if they aren't, FIRE THEIR SKINNY BEHINDS? There are lots of kids looking for jobs.
Of course, I think the age of the employees probably is a result of decreased wages. Just one more way to boost profits at a huge cost to consumers.
Well, not to me. You've lost a loyal customer. There's a special circle of hell for executives who take over and make companies worse. Say hi to the folks from Sears and Apple when you get there.
