  • The stairs! SO MANY STAIRS. There are stairs going up from the bus bay. a couple of steps going down to the ticket booth area - then there are more stairs leading you to the trains. The worst design of the stations are the bus bays. There are separate entrances for the separate bus routes. This was the worst when you have options for the routes you take...you have to run up and down the stairs if you want to take a different bus. You can't see if another bus for another route pulls in without having to run back upstairs and looking down or going back down a flight of stairs to check. Yes, they have flashing signs that notify you - but it's not ideal. It's slightly better now that they have installed a board that tells you the arrival times of your bus. They have 2 bakeries a clothing alteration business, a ladies clothing store and a perfume / cosmetics store. I have tried the bakeries - they both offer decent options. One is geared towards the "hot foods" and the other is more bakery. The bakery that is furtherest away from the trains serves hot items. Their egg and bacon on a hotdog bun is a good breakfast item. It's a simple tasty breakfast - certainly beats a mcdees breaky. The bakery is ok - beef patties are pretty good - they're the go to items for most people. Their small samosas are good - $0.55 each - which makes for a good 2-3 bite snack They're pretty consistent in taste. It's a samosa - hard to goof that up though. They had a mice problem at the bakery - look it up - but it's a subway station- so adjust your expectations of sanitation. With that being said - washrooms. They renovated their washrooms recently...and I do have to say - if you are in desperate need to go to a washroom at a TTC station, and Warden Station is probably one of the cleanest and nicer TTC washrooms out of all the stations. I am at Warden on a daily basis - and I see the cleaning lady cleaning the washroom on a regular basis. The washroom is well lit as well. The kiss and ride area can be a mess - because the taxis wait in the same area as well. And the traffic can get congested at peak times. However, there is a small parking lot people can park for 10 minutes at a time to wait for their loved ones...or whoever they're picking up at the end of the kiss and ride drop off area. (TAKE NOTE! USE IT, don't block the flow of traffic!) You can also get cell reception since it is an above ground, outdoor station.
