I went to this salon because I used to get my hair done by Dominicans in NY and I know that they can whip some hair but I did not have a good experience here. My hair is natural and I have a lot of hair but the strands are fine so my hair straightens very easily. Well I initially went in for a roller set and blow out but had been toying with the idea of a keratin treatment. When I got to the salon the first thing she says is that my hair is damaged and that I need a keratin treatment to help it get better. I knew that my hair was in great shape because I had been going to the same girl for a long time and she moved away which was why I was looking for another salon to go to. Well I told her that I didn't think I needed the treatment because I wanted to keep my natural curls and she's says that I would still have my curls but that they would just be more manageable and shiny and less frizzy. So I tell her that I would try the treatment but that she didn't need to leave it on long because my hair would straighten too much if left on for any extended length of time. So I get the treatment and its cost me $130. She says that I need to come back in a week so they could wash them chemicals out and blow my hair out for me. I'm assuming this is all included in the price I paid. So I go back a week later like she instructed and my hair did come out pretty nice but I did notice that when my hair was wet it barely curled. That made me angry. But I still thought my hair looked good. So I go to leave and they want to charge me $15 for the wash and blowout. I will never go back to this salon again. Even though they do pretty good hair, they're not looking out for you as a customer and what's best for your hair and they're too expensive to be an authentic Dominican hair salon. Proceed to this salon with caution, especially if you have natural hair. They don't like dealing with coarse natural hair and my hair isn't even that coarse and they were tripping because I wanted a blow out of my natural hair.
