The Tan Factory is a pretty standard tanning salon. I haven't tried all of the beds but the ones I have tried don't have radios or air units in them. I've been to several tanning salons that are much cheaper that have radios and air fans or air conditioners.
I feel like the prices here are not very competitive. They are actually a bit pricey. The advantage to this place is purely their location. For me, tanning shouldn't take much effort so I prefer somewhere that is close to home or on my route home, Tan Factory fits that bill as the only tanning salon in the immediate Desert Ridge area. Keep your eyes peeled for specials though. I was able to score a $25/month deal with a minimum of a 3-month contract. It's in the basic beds but they do a nice job and from time-to-time, upgrades are on sale as well.
The salon itself is very clean and the beds are in good shape. I managed a tanning salon years ago and so I tend to check in places that the average customer probably doesn't think to look and this location passes my white glove test. The restrooms are clean and I like that they have a supply of items available to make your experience easier to return to your day such as hair bands, spray deodorants, body sprays, etc. There is a towel in each room and generally a jolly rancher to enjoy while tanning. I like the nice little touch. The acrylics are also clear and in good shape.
The one thing that can be changed and never seems to be is that the doors to the rooms suck! It seems that every third time I'm tanning, the door is broken and takes all of my strength to slide shut. UGH! So annoying.
Girls are nice, great location ... works for now.
