  • I tried out Destihl this past weekend and it was definitely one of the best meals I've had since moving to Illinois. For our appetizer, we had the warm pretzels. I'm a big fan of the cheese sauce they come with and they were gone pretty quickly. I also sampled the fried cheese curds and they were tasty as well. For my meal, I had the fried egg BLT. You really can't go wrong with bacon, a fried egg and avocado on a sandwich. The garlic dressing on the sandwich was great too. I was really pleased. I ordered an iced tea and I think it's my own fault for not looking at it on the menu, but I expected a regular iced tea. Their iced tea is an orange tea that has a pretty strong orange flavor. I wasn't a fan. Our server exchanged it for a soda and I wasn't charged for it. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.
