I located this place because of an emergency since my airconditioner decided it wanted to out out on one of the hottest days. Got a pretty cheap deal and booked right online with hotels.com. When I did arrive there was only 1 person checking people in and the party ahead of me had like 5 or 6 people checking in and wanted to socialize. None the less I was patient anyway.
While I parked where it said guest registration, a weirdo was lurking around like he was picking coins or something up. That's normal it's Vegas and there's homeless, drug addicts, and rough looking people everywhere so that didn't bother me much. Upon entering there was a little quaint bar downstairs near the check in desk and some kind of pantry where there are snacks, etc. I'm not really sure if they were free or you had to pay for them. So finally my turn to check in and although I had already paid he aIsked me to slide my card and my id. I'm thinking he asking for the card because who knows what card I used and they wanted the physical card although I had already paid. Low and behold these mf's charged me $150 deposit for the room and NEVER told me or mentioned it to me. When I called back down there he said oh the website should have informed you. No mf'r you should have said something as I was sliding my card. Then of course they take it right out but takes them 6 months to return it back to your card. Thank God I did have the money or didn't have anything else to do with that money.
Got to my room and it was pretty clean actually and even the hallways were pretty clean and descent. The one drawback I'm taking a star from is their underground spooky ass parking. It's definitely out of a horror film where someone is chasing you and absolutely nobody is in sight to help you if you need it. They gave me a room near the elevator but gave me a handicap access room. Who said I needed that and why didn't you ask me if that was okay? Whatever I'm tired, hot, and hungry so I don't feel like being petty today so I let it go. The pillows suck and are too soft but the bed is descent and slept ok. There isnt' too much noise and I didn't hear any other guests. Yeah it's in a sketchy part of town and next to a empty lot where homeless probably be but it served my purpose and it's a really nice hotel. But the shower.....absolutely to die for and just stood there for about 10 minutes. The shower head felt amazing and I know I need to go out and find one of those.
I checked out fairly early since I had to go to work but that was fairly quick and easy. They have to check your room to make sure you don't smoke before they can give you your deposit back. Guess it's a good thing since I don't smoke anyway. But they need to be upfront with guests when they are sliding their card so they know there is a refundable deposit for $150 and will be returned as long as nothing is damaged and you didn't smoke.
I would stay here again if I needed to so I'm not sure where all of the other negative reviews are coming from but it's a really descent hotel.
