  • Your "estimate " will take 3 hours +. they want to do a presentation with you so you can be an "educated buyer ". its staring at a PowerPoint on a tablet for over an hour. then at the end they do estimate which will be crazy high and then " sound good? go ahead and sign here". after I said no you are my first estimate . 100% I will not sign today. for another hour he continued to "what if I do this...what if I do this" . estimate for 11 windows was $23,000.... and shocking the "sign today price was 18,000...wow amazing 5k off just like that ?! (eye roll) I literally texted my Realtor and he said absolutely not to invest that much in the windows . when I told the salesmen he proceeded to argue with me that my Realtor doesn't know what he's talking about. shortly after he finally left my coworkers brother came over to finish some work on my house (he builds homes for a living and knows all the companies) as soon as I mentioned mad city windows he said "they are a huge rip off don't ever get work from them. their salesmen are trained to not leave a house in less than two hours . there is a reason they don't only do roofing anymore because they used get sued constantly". he also said to not be afraid to tell mad city window guys to get out of your house because they will typically stay til you do. he mentioned a client of his having to forcibly say " GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! " and the salesmen said "okay but ...can you just tell my boss I was here for two hours. needless to say I have been referred to better companies for less than half the cost . Mad City Windows pushes this " we are exclusive to enviroview windows ", they are great windows . and maybe belong in a new built 400k + home . Its all smoke and mirrors by them , those windows aren't worth that much. and their " apples to apples guarantee " is a bunch of BS . they will not match another companies estimate because they just say "well the guarantee is if its the same quality we can provide and those windows aren't as good as ours " over priced company. DO NOT be afraid to tell them to get out , or to measure and crunch numbers before presentation and if u don't like number say "don't bother with presentation ..get out" they get that all day. they are just trained to be pushy . like I said inside source that builds homes for a living
