  • Let me start by saying that doing a large remodeling project from out of state was a very scary prospect. I recently accepted a position in Phoenix and am moving my family from California. I knew I wanted a house that I could put my family character into which obviously would require at least a kitchen remodel if not the bathrooms. Being unfamiliar with Phoenix, I used an online service called Home Advisor to recommend 3 local contractors. Republic West was one of the companies that were referred. Within a matter of seconds they had responding to the inquiry and set up an appointment when my wife and I would be in town for the closing. The salesman arrived with a mini showroom of different door styles and counter top choices. I think we made it pretty easy on him as my wife pretty much had our kitchen designed already from pictures. The appointment took about an hour or so and we got pricing right on the spot. We also found an economical way to redo our bathrooms because my wife used up the budget on the kitchen. We ended up refacing our vanities and keeping the existing counter tops instead of replacing them. Republic West was the last contractor we saw in a day of never ending estimates and we had a great feeling about them. We decided to move forward that night because their price and plan for the remodel when we were out of town made us feel the most comfortable. A couple of days after we signed the paperwork, Michael one of the owners called me to introduce himself and told us because we were out of town he would be personally involved in the supervision and send us videos of the progress. We were told the project would take about 2 weeks from the start and then we could start moving in. The cabinets arrived about 5 weeks later and they started. As promised I received videos of the progress and everything went well. The cabinets took about a week, they measured for the counter tops and while those were being made they tiled the kitchen floor. About 7 days later the counter top guys came in and installed the granite we selected. The tile guy then put up the backsplash and Republic west even coordinated with the appliance company we chose and managed the install. I was able to get into town a couple days after the job was complete and did a final walk through with Mike. I can't say enough about the effort made to calm my fears about not being around for the work. I would definitely use them again and plan on it when we paint the house next year.
