It's been long while since I've written a 1 star review :( Where do I begin?!...
Let's start with the good. The lady who checked me in at the front desk was nice and the lady who later gave me my room key was funny.
Now for the shit list with beautiful asterisks:
*That pool. If you took a look at Rehab from up high, you wouldn't step in that dirty cesspool. You can see a ring of filth around the edge.
*Dark dingy hallways wreaking of cigarettes
*Run down rooms
*People smoking in the casino
*People smoking in the casino sitting on the ground in the hallway in front of The Joint. Classy clientele.
*Rude housekeeping - not just to me, but to 2 other people in my unofficial group
*Got charged for a mini bar item that probably got knocked over but not consumed so their sensors just charged me for something and I didn't feel like contesting the charge
*This wasn't the hotel staff but when you have retail tenants who are calling your guests "stupid fucking strippers", that potentially hurts your business, too.
*I was there for a convention with workshops in different rooms of the Muse and Artist halls. Some of the rooms were not fully partitioned and you could hear loud distracting talking and music coming from the adjacent room. I asked the convention organizers never to hold it there again. It was at a different and better casino 3 years in a row prior.
*I checked out of there yesterday and I have not received an itemized receipt for my stay.
Now, I've stayed here before a couple times when it was actually nice. It just has not been well kept and there seems to be no service standards.
I will say that The Joint is a nice venue for shows but that's not enough to warrant another star.
This "resort" is in some dire need of love...and not the kind that housekeeping is going to skip over.
