rev:text	I stayed at Paris with my best friend in June '07 for a girls' weekend. We arrived around 11pm local time and they didn't have a room available that we paid for. They upgraded us to a suite for no extra charge and we would get our regular room the next day. The suite was amazing. It had a wonderful view of the strip and the fountains at the Bellagio. We were totally exhausted, so it was wonderful that they made that part hassle free. The regular room was a standard hotel room. The view wasn't as nice, but it was a perfectly good room. The pool area was really nice. We went every day we were there. It was a bit surreal to be laying out under the Eiffel Tour, but enjoyable nonetheless. The location of the hotel was ideal for first time travelers. They're right in the middle of the strip. It was great to know that we were in the middle of all the action. The spa was a different story. I called to make half day appointments for both of us and was told that it would cost $550 for each of us. I thought it was a little on the cheap side, but believed the person I spoke to. Big mistake. When we arrived at the spa, we were charged $550 each and expected to tip each of our technicians. The man at the desk wasn't very helpful either as he wouldn't let us cancel the parts of the day we didn't want. It was unclear if the spa was operated by the hotel or if it was a separate entity, but it definitely left a sour taste in our mouths. I gave them a 3 overall because of the spa incident. In my opinion, something like that shouldn't happen at a hotel that claims to be so high end. If it does, then the staff should try and remedy the situation rather than being stubborn and unhelpful.
