  • I want to tell you about my recent experience buying a new car to possibly help you avoid the same issues I had. My husband and I went to Tempe Dodge and ended up buying a new vehicle the same day. While we feel we got a good deal on the new vehicle, we were taken advantage of on our trade in. They said there was "structural damage" on our trade in's Car Fax so they give us the bare minimum for the car. After I found out there was nothing on the Car Fax, I called and left voicemails and emails to try to discuss this situation with them. No one would talk to us for 5 days, no calls or emails. We ended up going in to the dealership and talked to the Sales Manager and his answer was, "We told you there "could" be structural damage on the Car Fax and that is the price you decided on so that is what your vehicle is worth." When I mentioned to him that he should want to keep customers happy, he said, "Everyone that buys a car from here is unhappy, I deal with unhappy people every day all day." Very surprising coming from someone in the customer service industry. I ended up asking to speak with the GM, and he said "if she will talk to you." He was very rude, defensive, and pretty much a bully. The GM was a lot calmer and easier to talk to. While we were not able to do anything about the deal, I at least felt I was listened to and finally got someone to answer my questions. Lesson learned: If they give you a good deal on your new car, they will give you a crappy deal on your trade in and vice versa. (Directly from the GM) I was very upset about their customer service after we purchased the vehicle and also how we were lied to. It felt like once you purchased a vehicle from them, they were done with you. Make sure if you buy a vehicle from here that you are completely satisfied with your deal because you may never hear from them again. Their follow up is horrible! I even expected emails or calls for days and weeks after the purchase just asking how things were going and if we had any questions. Nope! Also, they will wear you down when you are negotiating the deal, tell you that the deal won't be good if you walk.....Not true. Beware and be an educated buyer before going here.
