| - If you're coming/walking from the city, the winery is on the far end of the Strip. On a hot day, it's a terrible walk. You walk inside to a dimly lit bar and there is a basement with barrels and chairs--where live music is played on weekends. We were immediately greeted by someone and given a list, the tasting explained. You pay $10 for the first 6 wines on the list, $15 if you want the last reserve. If you buy a bottle, the cost of the tasting is waived. The attendant was good at explaining their wines, the process, the grapes, etc. There were small portions of crackers and thinly sliced cheese between 1 oz servings. I had the sangria, which was a nice balance of sweet and fruity, served chilled with ice. It was a basic experience, and we had fun chatting and joking around with the man serving us. More customers came in as we were finishing, so this place has a steady crowd it seems. I think this is a place to explore later in the day, to see what the music scene is about. The wine was good, their list simple--not a lot for a sweet wine drinker like myself. All-in-all, it was a good experience, and I we learned some things. It's a nice change from the grocers and cafes on the Strip.
