| - I have been a member about 3 years, and engaged in personal training for 1 year during that time. Overall, a nice gym, in a good area... bright and pretty clean... the cleaning lady works hard, that is for sure.
The problem with this place is the lack of leadership and management skills that are at the table. The staff here are "coin operated". Trainers are great when you hire them, the day your plan stops, they walk by and barely acknowledge you.
Most of the training and sales/management staff sit up at the front desk on their cell phones. You *never* see a trainer or management in the gym, unless they are training someone. God forbid they ever actually smile or chat with a member... They should absolutely no interest in the members or the club. Therefore, as mentioned below, if the staff doesn't care, the members don't. Weights are all over the place, equipment never returned, towels stack up etc.
Gee... the idea that if the trainers walked around a bit, giving the odd piece of advice out to members working out.... might actually pay-back with longer memberships, or more training... or happier customers/more referrals.... duh... that thought is foreign in these parts...
As I mentioned, cleaning lady good, lots of equipment, early morning receptionist nice... just don't expect great customer service.
Last note... they just got a new manager, so maybe things will improve!
