  • I was 98% close to cancelling my appointment after reading all the poor reviews. My sister suggested we just give Sophie's a chance so we ended up going. I'm glad she convinced me to go because we came in with zero expectations. By the time we left we were very glad we visited Sophie's Gown Shoppe. Joanne who was helping me try on several gowns was very friendly and helpful. She knew I was just starting to look so there was no sales pushing at all. The change room I had was in the back so it felt more private than out front. I came in with a budget in mind so that I only tried on gowns within my range. I was surprised at the costs because it was actually under my budget! Additionally, they have a very large selection of dresses to choose from. I've only visited one other shop afterwards but I think I will be back next year to choose the dress!
