  • Lindt Chocolate - the bar usually cost about $2.50 when they're on sale at Shopper's Drug Mart, and that is quite often. So why in the world world would I go to the Lindt Chocolate Boutique and pay $3.69 for one? In addition to Lindt Chocolates they have a small section of Ghiardelli's hot chocolate mixes and squares ($0.49 each). Most of the round chocolate balls were $5.99 per 100g - is Lindt a subsidiary/parent owner of Bulk Barns? Because they sure practice the same pricing tactics. I had a $20 voucher from Team Buy in hand and thought it was some deal. My parents wanted to buy some dark chocolate and bring it to Hong Kong for my relatives because its not as common over there. When the girl rang me up, I owed a whopping $50 on top of the $20 voucher that was already applied. For the amount of chocolate I got (which was not all that much, probably about 4 x 250g of chocolate) - it was not cheap. For these prices I probably could've bought fancier and more artisanal chocolates from say Godiva. I think I'll take Jennifer K's advice and come back post-Easter for their huge sales. Its sad but I think I've gotten better deals at a department store or chain for Lindt Chocolates than at this "boutique."
