| - Stopped in around 11am on a Saturday for the bloody mary bar. The place was pretty much empty, which wasn't really a problem, but it felt a bit awkward. That feeling wasn't helped much by the waitress/bartender, who was friendly at first, but soon disappeared for a long period of time. It took quite awhile to get the bill, and even longer for her to return to process the payment. On the way out I noticed she was sitting and chatting with a group of people at a booth in the back of the seating area (the only other people in the place, actually). Sorry to interrupt.
The bloody mary bar itself was decent, but not extravagant. The mix was good, but the variety of garnishes was just okay. I was happy to see cheese cubes and pickled asparagus, but the only meat present was pepperoni slices. The celery was pretty wilted, and overall the bar was a bit messy.
It's a nice place inside, with some interesting decor, and I'd like to come back and try their microbrews (brewed at their west side location, I believe). I recognize we weren't really there during their peak hour, and the bloody mary bar probably wasn't their specialty. I'd be fine with that, but the service left just a bit to be desired.
