I've been a member of Crossfit Culmination for approximately two months now. Prior to joining, I didn't have any crossfit experience. Like anyone else who has heard the horrific stories of crossfit or any high intensity work out, I was a little nervous because I thought that I may not be fit enough for the program. However, I was pleased to learn that there are "scaled" versions of the movements that are more suitable if you aren't able to execute certain movements. Joe, the owner of the gym, is a wonderful guy. He has the tendency to be quite lively and animated which helps give you that "push" during your WOD. He and the other coaches are very genuine and caring. The overall community of the gym is great. Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. The class sizes are small and limited so that you won't have to worry about the availability of the equipment.
As far as results, I have progressed tremendously strength and endurance wise. I am now able to lift certain weights with ease that I used to struggle with in the first month and I'm actually able to handle certain strenuous activities better than I would have prior to crossfit. The more consistent you are with the program, the faster you see results. But don't worry about consistency because once you start, you'll be looking forward to working out!
