  • I am still in shock.. I am not one to write negative reviews, however my family and I have never felt more uncomfortable and/or unwanted dining at an establishment before. My wife and I wanted to take my younger sister, who is visiting Phoenix for the weekend on summer break, to a nice dinner. We decided to come here because of the great Yelp Reviews and photos. My wife and I already knew what we wanted to order because we were drooling over the yelp photos prior to coming. When our server, Jennifer (middle aged blonde woman), came to take our order my younger sister asked her to start with me because she was still indecisive about what she wanted. We were all taken back when Jennifer said, "No I'm going to start with you first." My sweet sister, feeling frazzled, ordered something out of pressure because she didn't want to make us wait. My wife then ordered the Pesce Alla Vodka and asked to sub spinach instead of pasta. Jennifer gave her an annoyed look, but begrudgingly agreed to the substitution. 10 minutes later, when we thought our orders were being prepared, our server came out and told my wife she will only substitute the pasta for spinach with an up-charge of $7.00. $7?! Are you out of your mind? It felt like a passive aggressive "fuck you". So my wife politely declined and cancelled her order sticking with the salad she ordered as a starter dish. To make the uncomfortable situation even more uncomfortable Jennifer then said, "okay that's fine, but now it's gonna take longer for everyones food to come out". As if she was trying to punish my wife for canceling her order after refusing to pay $7 for spinach. We continued to receive a snarky attitude from Jennifer throughout our whole dining experience and could not wait to leave! Needless to say we will not return. And we will not recommend this place to our family and friends.
