| - Flamingo's Total Rewards Antoinette... my fav person there, knows how things work & excellent customer service. Got my comp'd tix, then headed back to the Highroller box office since the lady informed us to first go there & come back. We did. She said for only today, Veterans Day, dad could show his Veterans proof of ID & walk right in w/o a ticket. Locals are half off so it'd be $16 for those not covered by comp.
She also reassured us that we wouldn't have to wait in that horrific line so we happily walked to the Highroller. Actually, the line was longer than I've ever seen it!
The Highroller box office girl was clearly misinformed, no fault of hers cause she was super helpful & would've given dad a ticket otherwise. Also where is the Veterans line only on a day like today?
We got up to the 'tickets only' line, located on the right of the non-ticketed line. Suzy was super rude. After she checked my purse which is totally fine cause I want my family to be safe as well as everyone else, she yelled at mom, then refused to take dad's Veterans ID w/o a ticket & said we'd have to wait in that hour plus line. So AFTER, we went to the HR box office, Flamingo TR, back to the HR box office, then to the HR ticket line, she wanted us to wait in another line for over an hour?? Sorry I don't think so.
I walked over to Christina, the ticket lady who told me to go to the back of the line. I explained to her the situation & as she printed off a ticket, shaking her head at us the whole time, was very rude.
I would have to say once again, the Highroller is nothing special & for that kind of service on an offer for a Vietnam Veteran, it was unacceptable. Also as we boarded the cabin & barely got off of the ground, at 8:11pm on 11.11.16, we were stopped & reversed cause of an incident in another cabin. Finally, we continued on w/ the ride, but we have no clue what the reversal was for.
Mom & dad really enjoyed the Vegas lights from 550 feet & the ride. Service gets a zero. Box office a five star, along w/ honest Jeremy at the bar who was helping a new bartender & saving us money on souvenirs cups versus a regular cup of $9 wine. They serve Kendall Jackson Chardonnay which helped to relax me from the tension below the escalators w/ Christina & Suzy.
Happy Veterans Day, we made it off safely! Hope you all enjoyed the day like mom, dad, Jeff C. & I did overall.
