| - We randomly found this place on a road trip to a ski hill in Wisconsin one day. Now, it's a regular stop for us and we actually build it into our itinerary every time we are in the area for any reason. The main draw of this place is the front bakery counter. They make the most mind-blowingly delicious frosted sugar cookies (cow shapes are their trademark, but they have other designs as well) that taste way better than anything you've ever had in your life. The cookies are the perfect texture of just crunchy enough, but still maintaining the soft, doughy inside. The frosting is like crack. You think you're going to just have a small bite, but then you find yourself going back for more and more because it's so dang delicious. They also have gigantic cream puffs that look like an entire can of whipped cream was used to construct each one (although their whipped cream is made from scratch). Oh, and gargantuan chocolate eclairs as well. We sometimes eat at the diner and the food is really delicious as well. Chicken fried steak, hot roast beef sandwiches, burgers, fries, you name it. It's all pretty tasty and full of midwestern goodness. The place is at a truck stop of a giant shell station, and it can be hard to find once you exit, as you enter from the far side, but definitely well worth the stop.
