At Pearson Airport in Toronto it's your only choice. There are tons of cheap airport hotels a short shuttle ride away. But waiting for a shuttle late at night in minus 20s is not very nice. Some of the hotels even charge for the shuttle. This one is attached to term 3 and a short train from
Term 1 (where you're likely to be). Pricing is terribly variable (from $100 to $400) pretty much reflecting how much you want the room. If your flight (and everyone else's) just got cancelled then expect the $400 panic rate. If you can get $129 that's pretty good.
It's clean and nice enough. There is a pretty big bar that's open late. Food is terribly expensive and (I'm a slow learner) after multiple samplings must be said to terrible. Beer is also expensive but fortunately not terrible. Note fish and chips which is really oversized fishstick cr@p is $22 which is quite a lot more than in the designerist of Philly designer pubs (dandelion of course). That's really silly.
So if you have an early flight out of TO or if you get in late and don't want to drive AND you thought about it it in advance and got a reasonable (vs panic) rate, then this is your place.
Do not eat at the bar. It's not worth it. I wish I could say something humorous but I'm staring at half a plate of fish cr@p and cardboard chips.
