  • Unfortunately In order for me to post this review i had to enter a star rating...but I wanted to give this dental office ZERO stars. When I made my appt, I asked them if they were contracted with my dental ins & the office gal said yes. So i made my appt and went. The plan was for a deep cleaning & a crown & an implant. My out of pocket for the deep cleaning was over $450 & that was after using a $50 off coupon. I was shocked. They had me open a dental credit card to pay my out of pocket. I asked how much they charged for a deep cleaning & they said $1800. I couldnt understand if they were contracted with my insurance why it was so high. I just figured i had crappy insurance. So I did the deep cleaning at the end of 2015 & had an appt in Jan 2016 to begin the implant. I had asked the gal in office in Nov 2015 what my out of pocket for the rest of the work to be done would be. She never got back to me until a few weeks before my appt date in Jan. She quoted me $4500. I was shocked as hell. How is it so expensive if they are contracted with my insurance. When a dental office is contracted with your insurance they are contracted to accept a set contracted price. This didnt sound right so I made me an appt elsewhere for a 2nd opinion which was free and this other dental office actually was contracted with my dental insurance & for all my work to be done was $900 and that was my portion. I will never go back to Stephanie Dental. I feel the girl in front office (Rowe) just said they were contracted with my insurance for my business. Good thing i went somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. I saved myself (actually my husband since Im not working at this time) over $3500. ***I ALSO WANT TO ADD THAT MY HUSBAND HAD 2 TOOTH EXTRACTIONS IN OCT 2015. HE PAID $90 (50% OF THE COST)...WE FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT THAT HAD THEY ACTUALLY BEEN AN IN-NETWORK CONTRACTED PROVIDER AS THEIR OFFICE SAID THEY WERE WE WOULDVE ONLY PAID $18 (10% OF THE COST). To be FAIR Stephanie Dental did call my husband & I to discuss my review & they did reimburse a significant amount re: husband's extractions. Thank you Stephanie Dental for that.
