  • Thank goodness for YELP! Great customer service, or at least I thought... The people were so nice, I literally thought they had my best interest at heart. I was almost suckered into buying 2 new air conditioners for $20,000.00. Oh wait, they were going to "help" me by giving me an SRP rebate, which I would get no matter who I bought a unit with. This is from SRP, not their company. Oh, and to help me with the expensive a $3200 visa gift card to be fair. One of my AC units stopped working when it was 107 degrees, of course I panicked. Pleasantly surprised when they said they could have someone out that day. The capacitor went out on one unit and then they wanted to replace 2 other items totaling over $1200. At that point I was like do I spend that much money on a 12 year old unit or is it time to get replaced? They said they would send an AC sales representative out to let me know what options I had to make an informed decision. How nice, right? Wrong. I almost bought 2 new AC units totaling $20,000. I was sick to my stomach thinking about it, and started to do my own research. With all the reviews I saw on YELP I figured I needed to get a second opinion. Another company came out and said everything is fine. If it's not broke don't fix it. Capacitors are a very common item to go out in an AC unit. Especially in AZ due to our extreme heat. Also, one unit has nothing to do with the other, and even if one unit was beyond repair, no need to replace both units. I guess I took their kindness as away to take advantage of a single women in distress. They sales representative even told me he had a daughter shortly going off to college. How would he like someone to take advantage of his daughter like that? Shame on you. I know you have to put your day through college, but no reason to do it by taking advantage of others. Since I was already off work for the day, I also had their plumber come out and fix 2 items in my home. Again, he was very nice and job completed. After doing research on the AC's, I decided to look into the plumbing repairs. I learned what I paid for and realized how much I was overcharged for fixing these items as well. They are very smart when they invoice you. There is just a set fee. The receipt does not itemize parts and labor. The plumber also tried talking me into a water softer system and used a scare tactic to try to get me to buy a new water heater for $1694.00. Again, did some research and found water heaters are half this price. I will say that everyone was very pleasant and kind when I was working with them. I felt that they really were trying to help me. Only to find out they saw a sucker and almost got away with it. I am writing this review to let others know, thank you for your reviews. Thank you for saving me from almost spending half my life savings for unnecessary repairs. Do your research. Don't let a stressful situation influence you on making a huge financial mistake. Don't take kindness as someone looking out for you. Be aware, and educate yourself.
