This place reminds me of the diners in New Orleans. Cozy and welcoming with simple food done exceptionally well.
I had the red beans and rice with turkey kielbasa. The portion size was perfect; though if there had been more on my plate, I would have kept on eating. This is the kind of meal that fills you up and warms you from the inside.
My only complaint is the small amount of options for gluten free diners such as myself, though that's relatively common among soul food restaurants. Any chance we can get some GF cornbread? The little loafs are so charming!
