I also don't like leaving bad reviews but I felt compelled to warn individuals about this place. I took the class near Thompson Peak "Windgate Crossing" in Scottsdale. The male instructor there was the worst.
I've been physically fit most my life. I've attended many "workout" classes in the past 20 years.
I don't even know where to start. First of all the instructor there seemed bothered by anyone that wasn't cute and in there 20"s. He seemed more interested in talking to the girls in the front row than helping and motivating the class. I asked him several questions about giving me some alternative exercises to do and he snapped at me and said "what like running up trees"?? I thought that was weird and rude.
We did this exercise that required us to carry a crate full of weights. This exercise left large bruises on the top of my legs. I think it was way too heavy for me and I was using my legs to lift. He made fun of me when I asked to remove some of the weights from the crate.
Another favorite "time filler" for him was to tell us to do 15 reps of 3 different exercises and then 14, 13 ,12 etc. I could do this at home. This took up about 15-20 minutes of class.
I kept going hoping the class would get better but it just kept getting worse. The final straw was when they lost their lease and moved into a room that was too small for us to even do jumping jacks.
