  • What I was told would take about 30 days took double that. Qualifying for a home equity loan was a joke. Their rates were competitive but the communication was terrible. When I finally went in to sign the papers, Jesse told me it would hit my account in 2-3 hours, so I paid my contractors who were starting work on my home the next day, only to get a call later that afternoon saying he was sorry but it will actually take 2-3 days so I will have my money available Monday (Jesse was very nice and apologetic, I think he was new)...Monday I call to confirm my contractor can cash check and, I am told Tuesday the money will hit my account between 9-5. So had to postpone my construction. When Wednesday came around I confirmed money was in account and he could cash it, only to have his check bounce because Jesse neglected to tell me that it wasn't tied to the checking account I had just opened which was necessary when getting a home equity loan. I had to physically transfer the money over, never was this mentioned, I thought they were linked together! Not a fan of this bank or it's communication. It was extremely stressful and when I first talked to them, I specifically said I needed the money by such and such a date to start construction and they said, you will have it in plenty of time.
