Monday night around dinner time and the wait for a table for 2 was hours! Make a reservation. Luckily there were 2 spots open at the bar which ended up being a ton of fun. 3 men and 1 woman behind the bar, 2 guys ended up taking care of us most of the night. They not only served us well but were friendly and talkative, giving genuine recommendations and sharing funny stories.
Ordered a glass of Prosecco for myself and a whiskey drink for my boyfriend, very good. Started with the tartar, spicy but delicious. Then came pate -amazing- and then devils on horseback. Also a little hot but very good. The bone marrow was excellent and the toppings with it were great. Once we got halfway through the bone marrow the bar tender told us we had the option to do "luge shots" of Jameson out of them once we finished. We happily complied and were given bibs to protect our shirts. Lots of fun. We got the tuna ceviche for dessert which was just the right combination of light and sweet and salty and savory and we finished the night off with a shot of Fernet Branca.
Not cheap and unless you want to risk finding a seat at the bar, plan ahead. But a wonderful place, gorgeous decor, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and amazing food.
