  • Wow! Who knew that of all places, that Las Vegas would be one of the spots to have one of the best seafood places to actually grab some fresh, quality food at decent prices? This bar seems to fill up early, so try to get here as early as possible unless you don't mind waiting in line for your chance to sample some of what they have to offer. It's located in Palace Station and even with the simple atmosphere, serves some of the most mouth watering food I've ever had in Las Vegas. We started off we a dozen oysters (not sure what kind) on a half shell. The flesh was nicely sweet, with a hint of brine, it was perfect paired with the lemon and tabasco. *drool I also had a bowl of the New England clam chowder which wasn't full of salt (where most places fail miserably with the sodium levels). The milk and potatoes, nicely complimented the sweet, slightly briney chucks (not tiny morsels) of clam meat. *double drool My friends and I decided to grab a couple bowls of their Etouffee, Combo Roast, and Bouillabaisse. The Etouffee consisted of nicely sized pieces of fresh shrimp, crab, and lobsters in a somewhat spicy (had a nice, slight kick) stew. I thought it was Gumbo, but it wasn't. Fail me. The seafood tasted really fresh and the stew was nice and hearty. I even poured some of it on top of my rice that they offer with the dishes. *triple drool The Combo Roast reminded me of a lightly sweet lobster bisque that also had shrimp and crab in it. There wasn't pieces of the sexy shellfish, but more like a light bisque base soup. It was flavored really nicely and I just wish it had pieces of the shellfish (pieces) inside of being blended into the soup. The Bouillabaisse was slightly like the combo roast above, without it being a bisque of sorts, with pieces of the seafood for you to see. It was more of a seafood stew with lots of morsels of crab, cod, prawns, lobster, mussels, and clams. The seafood wasn't scarce and neither was the flavor. *Quadruple drool Just writing out this review makes me want to go back and hopefully we do! This is a great "out of the box/strip" place to go to for fabulous seafood and the waitress' and chef are really friendly and engage in conversation with all the patrons. If you're in the mood for really great seafood, come here and avoid the "seafood restaurant" across the street.
