No scary clowns anywhere but low price rooms good if your with a big family with kids. Stratosphere also next door a good neighboring property to have. Value oriented and fun. If your anti - stuffy snobbery you will love this place.
A solid choice for people on a budget or who have youngsters who like roller coasters and the midway and fun dome. They have been trying to keep things up but compared to all the new mega resorts its hard to keep things as crisp. I remember years ago when they were painting the ceilings on the casino floor. They were going from black to white was it?
There are many different towers. I like to always pick the tower that is most convenient based on the elevator location but whatever you do stay far away from the Manor Motor Lodge. Clean comfortable sports book with booths, cheap good pizza there nearby.
I once couldn't find my car in the garage. I spent hours looking for it in the hot hot heat to the embarrassment of a bunch of friends. Its so confusing these big places and if I remember correctly I was looking in the wrong garage or the wrong floors or something. After all that I usually just park on the roof.
Good value. I deducted a couple stars mostly just because I'm not a fan of staying so far north on the Strip. I have always disliked that part of Mandalay Bay for the same reason - too far south.
One thing to remember: if you stay at a budget friendly hotel you can compare the price of an upgraded jr suite here to the same price of the Harrahs standard room. Something to think about if you want to try a room with a lot of square footage.
