Living through the Vegas summer heat doesn't just take its' toll on having good hair days but it also wreaks havoc on your car battery. This summer especially since our average temp was 110 everyday for weeks it seems. I heard something about this year being the hottest summer on record...
Having battery issues is bad enough, but having them on a Saturday afternoon at 2pm sucks out loud in seven languages. I could hear the engine struggling to turn over and thought hmmmm it's been two years since I bought my Chevy Cruze and it could very well be the battery. So I called over to Findlay to ask a couple of questions, most important being, can I buy a battery anywhere or do I have to go to Findlay because of my warranty? It's bumper to bumper for the life of the vehicle as long as I service the vehicle there. I spoke with CJ who said I could go elsewhere for the battery but maybe I should come in to make sure it is the battery. So I made an appointment for the next Monday and raced like a jet to Zumba...
When I got out of the gym it took two tries to start the car and then the battery light came on. First I thought arrrggghhh, I don't have the time, patience or money for this! Then I called Findlay and spoke to CJ again to cancel my appointment on Monday and to confirm that I could go to Pep Boys and buy a battery. I didn't want to screw up the warranty. She put me on hold to find out. When she came back she said if it is determined that it is the battery then the battery is covered under the warranty and to come in now. I said now? She said yes. Really???? Covered???? WOW no charge and speedy service. Come to mama!
Well, it was the battery so I was in and out in about an hour and a half. Thank you to Anthony Lianzo, the service advisor who took care of me as soon as I got there and to CJ for being ON THE BALL!
In addition, in the two years since I purchased my Chevy I have always had positive experiences and interactions with Findlay. Just one question though, why doesn't my Cruze have cruise? ; )
