  • I was excited to sign up and join LifeTime. It's like a Disneyland compared to your local LA Fitness/EOS. Anyway, I decided to join the day that I came and toured. I toured with salesmen Kevin who was very professional and wasn't too pushy as normal salesmen can be. Originally Kevin told me that the initiation fee was only going to be $62 upfront, however, my card was charged for $69. I asked Kevin why and he wasn't sure. Then he mentioned that I was going to be charged an additional $55 the week after my first payment. That was all disclosed after the fact but whatever. Anyway! The gym is extremely packed. I only worked out there once & I could not get in a good workout because of how packed it was. They have a lot of cardio equipment but when it comes to the free weights area you are pretty much at a loss as there is no space. Once again it was too packed for me and I absolutely cannot stand a packed gym. You might as well spend $10/$15 to workout at EOS down the street as it's just as packed for less money. The kids room was full of children, at least 30 kids. I decided to cancel the same day, as they have a 14 day cancellation policy. My monthly membership fee was $70 for myself and my two children who are under the age of 8 on a year contract. If I wanted to do month to month it would have been an additional $10. Anyway, Kevin said I would get my refund no later than 10 business days. It's been 15 business days and no refund. I feel like he didn't process my request for cancellation until after the 1st of the month as I signed up at the end of the month and I feel like he wanted to meet his sales goal. Who knows, it wouldn't be the first time that a gym has done this to me. Anyway, still no refund as promised. It sucks. The many reviews below talking about it's hard to get your money back is right so beware.
