  • It's rare that the experience and atmosphere is just as good as the actual sweets themselves, but I was blown away by everything about this place. Just everything. I stopped in on a Tuesday evening; and, while we had to wait for awhile, there weren't mobs of people. I was immediately taken by the perfectly crafted detail of the decor - while I can't speak of what an old-fashioned ice cream parlor really would be like, I think the folks at Sweet Moses nailed it. The music was happy and jazzy, the staff were all super friendly, and all of the delightful details - from old-fashioned cash registers to the vintage lighting - were perfect. The chocolate and candies in the front of the store looked so good, and I'll have to come back to try them. Chocolate covered rice krispie bars, yum! For those folks with dietary concerns, they have sugar-free and dairy-free ice cream, which was delightful. I snuck a bite of my lady's mint chocolate chip ice cream, which was so rich and creamy and complex. By "complex", I mean it's the difference between a store-bought half gallon of crap and a teeny-tiny batch of ice creamy hand-crafted goodness. Delicious. Which does make me a little crabby that the dairy-free ice cream was rather hard and boring and not quite so delicious, but still. I will absolutely be coming back to enjoy yummy ice cream and how utterly charming this place is. Seriously, you could be having the worst day ever and I sincerely believe spending 15 minutes in here enjoying a soda and a caramel sea salt sundae would improve everything dramatically.
