Edit: The owner, Aaron, reached out about the overpriced part utilized on the repair and offered to pay the difference so long as I could show him a reputable dealer that had the part at the lower price.
I sent over a link from Sears and he promptly sent over a check to make things right.
While I did still have some trouble getting ahold of them to schedule follow-up appointments, I do think these guys are on the up and up and just made a couple of honest mistakes throughout the process.
As such, I'm updating my star rating accordingly.
Original Review:
Based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to call Service Pros to fix my washing machine and, unfortunately, it was not a great experience.
I'll start with the good. The guy who did the actual service was very nice and quick with the labor portion of this process.
Aside from that, I had many problems with this company and it took about 2 weeks to get the washer back in working order.
1. They told me my washer was unfixable because the replacement part was no longer made. Luckily I pointed out it was only 3 years old so that seemed unlikely. Of course, the part is still available.
2. They ordered the wrong part and didn't realize it until they were at my house to install it. This wasted my time and delayed the process significantly.
3. I found the part for less than 50% of what they claimed the cost was. Pretty irksome.
4. Scheduling was difficult. They never picked up their phone so I was playing phone tag with them for days (as I'm not always available to answer during work hours).
