  • DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes they have the cheapest quotes but you will pay much more than anticipated. I recently transferred jobs where I had to move from Phoenix to Dallas. We called around to various moving companies & Elite Movers of Las Vegas seemed to be the best company at the time. I spoke with Rick in Aug 19th & told him that I had a bed, headboard, dresser, night stand, mirror & 5 boxes that needed to be moved, & he gave me a quote for $890 for 142 cf. in the moving truck. I offered to send him pictures of my items to make sure that would be enough room & he said that it was not necessary & could just tell me how much it would cost based on the items I listed. I paid him over the phone the $100 deposit & we scheduled Aug 27th to pick up the items in Arizona. I chose my first date of delivery to be Sept 5th in Dallas, and Rick said that they could deliver up to 14 days after this, but that is the first possible day it can be delivered. Also, he said they require 50% of the payment when they pick up, then 50% when they deliver. On Aug 27th, the movers came & informed us that all of my items would not fit in the area that we purchased. (From reading other reviews, this seems to be a common tactic.) They said they would only be able to take my bed, headboard, nightstand & mirror. That left my dresser & 5 boxes. We asked how the estimated space could be so off from the quote, & they said that my bed was thicker than they thought. My bed is a standard queen sized bed, & they never asked me any questions about it, so I don't know what that even means? Furthermore, even if it was thicker, it was not equivalent to 5 boxes & a whole dresser thicker, so that made no sense. We called Rick at the office & they told us they cannot speak to us since the move is in progress. The movers then said that in order to take all of my items, it would be $2,000 more than my original estimate. (Again, other reviews say this is a common thing they do). We decided against it because I simply couldn't afford it at the time, so I had them take what they could based on the space I purchased. When they were getting ready to leave, I asked if I can pay them the 50% I owed today & the movers told me no & I will be billed 2 business days after. Also, they told me they would call me when the items are loaded on the truck and then again 24 hours before the delivery. Fast forward to September 9th & I still had not heard from them. I called them & they said that they don't have any information regarding moves that already are in progress....(What?) and only dispatchers do, but the office can't answer any questions. I finally got someone to talk to me (after being on hold for 30 minutes & transferred to various people) & they told me that my items are still in Las Vegas because I didn't pay. I told them I offered to the night of & that they never billed me like the said they would. The representative on the phone said that normal consumers would call in when someone tells them they would be billed, so it was my fault. I assumed being billed meaning being sent or emailed a bill, but regardless I just took responsibility & offered to pay them right now. They told me that now that it is late, they cannot take payment over the phone & they need a cashiers check to be overnighted to them. After they received the check, they said it would be another 7-10 business days. Great, I overnighted the check that day (Sept. 9th) & it was set to get there on Sept. 10th. Fast forward to today Sept. 23rd & I still haven't heard anything. Mind you this has almost been a month now. I called in today & they said they will look into it & call me back. I hadn't heard back so I called again & the manager Michelle asked me when the check was cleared. I said I wasn't sure since it was a cashiers check they should have received it on Sept. 10th. She said she didn't have that information & needs to follow up with the person who processed it & will call me back tomorrow because she is busy with meetings all day today. All she could tell me is that my items are still in Las Vegas, have not been moved, & it will take 7-10 more business for my check to be processed then 7-10 MORE business days after that for my items to be delivered. So it looks like I'll be sleeping on this blow up mattress for another month thanks to Elite Movers. I'm just praying that when I get my items they won't be broken, stolen, ruined like the rest of these reviews say. Their customers service is absolutely ridiculous- they talk over you and are aggressive and everything is always your fault. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy and I am amazed they are still in business. They are shady, unethical, and rude. Also, everything is additional charges. For them to use an elevator its $75, to use stairs $75, to wrap up a mirror $75. Anything and everything costs more money. EVERYONE SHOULD WRITE TO BBB!
