  • Posh has been on my wife's list of restaurants she wants to try for a long time. We went last night for her birthday. We were both excited about the concept of improvisational cuisine. We are both open minded about food and enjoy trying new foods and restaurants, but we were very disappointed in Posh. The food: We ordered the full tasting ($140 per person) to get the full effect of the concept. All of the plates were OK, but none of them were outstanding. The portions are very small and that is fine, but none of the courses were so good that we wished we had more. For the money I was expecting the food to be delicious, but it was average. The service: The service was good, but like the food it was not outstanding. At some point I went to the restroom (the full tasting takes 3 1/2 hours) and as I passed the hostess, who was not paying attention to anything in the restaurant, without even looking up, told me "good night, have a good evening". I obviously wasn't leaving, and she obviously wasn't focused on the customers. I know this is a small thing, but for the money I would expect everything to be perfect or near perfect. When we gave our food preferences we both indicated we were not interested in kangaroo and they still served us both kangaroo. We ate it and it was OK. $280.00. 2 full tastings $95.00 Bottle of wine $33.55 Sales tax $65.00 Tip $473.55 Total Not worth the price.
