  • An old world Vegas classic in every sense... Must visit!!! After entering the rather outdated but very lively casino floor we recognized the thin red brick walls and began our journey downstairs and into a time of Vegas past. Greeted by the maître d' very humble and welcoming, my girlfriend was given a lovely long stem rose and we were escorted to a quaint, low-backed booth in the corner. Quickly the seasoned veteran servers began their well rehearsed procession of drink orders, sommelier service and menu consultation. One of only a few restaurants that dares to serve French Bordeaux I'd give Hugo's 5 star just for that! Our Martini was served up in a large carafe in a chilled bucket and I'm pretty sure the phrase "three martini lunch" was coined here. The food: Excellent all around. A little too much butter for our diets but expected. The most remarkable about our evening at Hugo's was the service. We felt as if dining at a friend's home, never rushed or bothered with constant "how is everything." The table-side salad server had been there for 31 years, the sommelier 14 years and all others so kind and welcoming, professional on a level to best those at the Wynn!
