| - Fun venue!
My wife and I stumbled on to the Warehouse PAC, which seems to be doing some good marketing in the wake of its founder, Marla Brown, taking home MTA's Theatre Person of the Year Award last month. I wasn't aware of the organization before, but love Christoopher Durang vignettes, so we set out to find the joint.
Be aware - it is not in a traditional venue. The "Warehouse" is actually sort of in a warehouse, next to a U-Haul rental facility, but don't let that keep you for giving it a go. Once inside, you'll find a traditional black box theatre with 40-50 seats, good lighting and sound (when its working!) and friendly folks who are thrilled that you're there to enjoy an evening.
Drinks are "donations accepted" and we were glad to drop a $5 bill for two beers and sodas. As with all local theatre, some performance stood out more than others, but we greatly enjoyed the evening.
The Charlotte and Lake Norman community is lucky to have a number of really talented actors and directors. Glad to see there is another venue for them to come together and entertain audiences.
We'll be back to Warehouse PAC!
