We stayed downtown for a birthday celebration and decided to venture out to find a location for dinner. It was a Friday night and checked open table and thought we would check Hugo's. Fortunately, they had a no-show for a reservation (reservations are HIGHLY encouraged!) so they were able to squeeze us in.
We waited in the lounge while our table opened up and met one of the most amazing bartenders - we ordered a Side Car (made his way) and Harvey Wallbanger, which were both fantastic. They also had some very nice "munchies" at the bar. I would definitely return to their lounge just for drinks.
Dinner was fantastic! They have a very classic menu with amazing service. Every single person who came to our table was friendly and well versed. Our Sommelier was quite entertaining and we invited him back to join us for a toast. The freshly tossed salad was impeccable. We considered ordering dessert, but were so stuffed especially with the delightful little treats served at the end of the meal.
My only "complaint" was that some of the clientele did not dress appropriately for the venue (as noted in other reviews). Downtown Las Vegas has come a long way with some great new options, and this one has remained true to its origins with service and quality befitting the heydays of Las Vegas. This is a true gem that I had heard about for years and am glad we made it there to enjoy. I will definitely return again and recommend it without hesitation for a special evening.
