  • The girl I nanny and I were going to another nail salon for a few months. She had previously gone to Suki Nails, BUT the salon we started going to was just closer to a lot of the other things we do. I hadn't been before, but our gel manicures really were not lasting 2 weeks (which they should since we're not really hard on our nails) and the last couple of visits we had at the other place were just bad (lots of nail polish under the nails, they made several of my nail beds bleed, etc), so we decided to drive out of the way to Suki. Every time we have been, everyone has been very friendly. I think the owner is the person who has been doing my nails-- which I'm happy about. She's always super pleasant, is careful not to over-clip my thin skin around my nails, and my nail polish has yet to come off before we hit 2 weeks. For the two of us, we pay about $50 (gel manicure and gel soak off) and we both enjoy the atmosphere there. Tips: A lot of negative reviews about the owner... I'd say ignore them. We've been going here for a couple of months and, honestly, I have no idea what people are talking about. If you're upset they won't honor a coupon price when you don't have a coupon, that's on you, not the business. You don't go into Walmart saying you saw a coupon in the paper so you want that discount even though you don't have the coupon. The woman who posted her "brutal soak off"... How long have you been wearing acrylics? If that wasn't your first time, you should know that your nails will look like that after a soak off. I have super thin nails and have never had a "brutal soak off" at Suki Nails. In fact, with how much I get my nails done, I would grasp to say that the fact that my nails still hold up without polish or acrylics is amazing. The decorations are nice and the people who work there are so nice. We love that there are so many colors to choose from! There is never a shortage of colors :-) The ONLY complaint I really have is that I don't like that we kind of get bounced around and sometimes 2 or 3 people work on the girl I nanny's nails.... So it's like, they work on her nails while their current client's nails are drying or whatever. I think that's weird, but our nails always look so nice for the price :-)
