Last Friday, I called Cargo Cabbie to ask for a quote for a move that is coming up in about two weeks. I was specifically told on the phone that once I submitted my online request for a quote, that my date would be held and movers would be available to fulfill my request. I submitted the online form immediately and then submitted my photos to Cargo Cabbie by email over the weekend, after receiving the request to do so Friday. By Tuesday afternoon, I still had not received my official quote. Instead, I got an email informing me that just as the team was preparing my final quote, the day I wanted to move was booked. As such, they could no longer help with my move.
I totally get why dates wouldn't be blocked off until a reservation is final, but (a) your staff shouldn't inform people that they are; and (b) you should really try to increase your quote turnaround.
