  • I saw Thai Basil as I walked down to the subway stop and have been bugging my co-worker to go for lunch. We decided to go one day. Although the website said that they open at 11:30, a sign on the door said they would be opening at noon. That's fine...we just walked around a bookshop beside the place. However, we went back around noon, and saw that the restaurant owners were having a meeting. There was another couple waiting there, and they didn't even come out to tell us what was going on? I thought that was very poor service on their part. They lost our business that day. We went back another day, and they were open on time. I got a lunch special: Cashew Tofu and rice. It was not anything special...slightly watery and not very flavourful. I wasn't a fan of the soup...and the spring roll was pretty basic. All together it was OK food.
